"Sending ceremony" for Jake Pratt (pictured here with his mom,
Lisa), who, on July 11th, will be moving to North Carolina to assume
an EMT position with the Wake County EMS. He will be enrolled in
a 12 week training program leading to his licensing as a paramedic in
the county's "Earn as You Learn" program.
Lisa writes, "Jake is so thankful to his Saint Andrew family for their
support and kindness over the past few years, and particularly for his
friend and mentor, Karen Kopf, who introduced him to the world of
EMS, and encouraged him to apply to the junior program at
Moreau. He developed a love for this vital community service and
will always be grateful to Karen for her guidance.
"Please come and wish Jake well in his new endeavor at an
'Open House' on June 23rd from 12:00 Noon - 4:00 pm at
St. Andrew Lutheran Church!"
"Godspeed, Jake, in your new endeavor!"
